Staff Accountant

Location: Southeast Valley (Phoenix Metro Area)

Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000 base salary

Overview:

An established and growing organization in the Southeast Valley is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of transactional accounting and financial reporting, and who wants to contribute to process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and supporting schedules
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and integrity
• Partner cross-functionally with operations and leadership
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency
• Assist with audits and ensure compliance with internal controls

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles
• Proficiency in Excel; ERP experience is a plus
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
